A person credited with this unit standard will be able to:

·       Demonstrate an understanding of the general management functions within a Hemp agri-business.

·       Use a systems approach to structure an agri-business plan.

·       Structure a rolling agri-business plan.

·       Structure an agri supply chain to optimise the production to marketing flow.

·       Implement an information system as planning and management support.

Demonstrate an understanding of and implement risk planning within the monitoring process.

This unit standard is intended for managers of small businesses and junior managers of business units in larger organisations. The term business unit in this unit standard implies a small business, cost center, section or department.

The qualifying learner is capable of:

·  Identifying legislation that that regulates employment issues.

·  Understanding of the main aspects of the Labour Relations Act (LRA) as amended, that relate to the management of a business unit.

·  Explaining the requirements of the LRA in respect of interviews.

·  Understanding the main aspects applicable to labour legislation
